I’m from Florida and am visiting friends in Rhode Island. I google searched local coffee shops and immediately fell in love with Junk & Java’s menu, when I arrived their shop was so beautiful and the atmosphere was incredibly welcoming. Their menu is extensive and I had such trouble just choosing what I wanted, I wanted it all! I ordered a fruit smoothie (strawberry, blueberry and mango was my choice! So good!) and I also ordered a chocolate chip muffin, along with an iced caramel coffee with added almond milk. Everything I ordered was SO DELICIOUS! If you’re looking for a coffee shop this is it. This shop is also incredibly family friendly, Lego blocks, books and toys to keep children entertained. The staff was so kind and welcoming too!
Such a cool vibe at this shop! It was my first time visiting and I was so surprised when I walked inside. It has an eclectic style that works so well and makes it fun! Plenty of space to meet up with a group for fun or sit down and hammer out some work solo. I loved how they had bins of legos scattered around that anyone could play with. Food and drinks were awesome! Would definitely recommend!
Stopped here for coffee when visiting Westerly. Service excellent, latte and chai latte were delicious. Excellent customer service and friendliness, very child friendly. Patrons also friendly. Will definitely come back when visiting RI. Thank you! My 3 year also thought her vanilla steamer was one of the best she’s had and she’s a tough critic :)
Great little funky coffee shop, super selection of tasty baked goods. We enjoyed a turmeric latte w espresso, and a few cups of English breakfast tea with bagels and muffins... delicious. Really friendly staff. Can't say enough good things.
Good coffee and sweet treats, and a really nice and welcoming atmosphere. The big happy plants everywhere are a welcome sight in the winter.
Got a bagel hankering on way down to Narragansett from Connecticut, so we decided to check out Junk & Java. I ordered the garlic & chive bagel with chive cream cheese. They didn't have any chive left. I really liked the decor of the place with lots of couches and other places to sit & chill. When I got my bagel, I was a little turned off by the Philly cream cheese on the side; I was hoping for a big schmear of homemade cream cheese on it. The bagel was crispy and chewy, but as I was enjoying it, I realized I did not taste much garlic or chive. Maybe I was there on an off day, and next time, it'll be 5 star, which I could eazily see.
What a gem of a coffee shop! Not only are the coffees excellent, the treats are too. I had what is hands down the BEST pistscchio muffin I have ever had, at Junk & Java! In addition there are numerous board games to enjoy w/ friends as well as a chess game with the largest pawns I've ever seen, making the time there delightful - try the "pun" game, LOL!
Beyond cute and different decor and amazing menu items. I had some mushroom drink and it was so good. A chuggachino I believe. I will definitely be returning. They had a run muffin as well. So so so good
